The clothes on this page comprise winter sweaters I saw in pictures and liked so much I decided I would try to make them. For me, once I have proven to myself I can do something, I lose all interest in it. So, I have all these sweaters, most of which I have never worn, that I felt proud to be able to make. This is the first long-sleeved item I knitted. It has a triangle pattern on the torso and sleeves. It is made of a lamb's-wool/acrylic blend yarn so it is very warm. It is 34 inches around the chest, has 20-inch sleeves, and measures 23 inches from shoulder to the bottom of the waist rib. This long-sleeved sweater is $100.

This turtle-neck sweater was crocheted. It was made using double crochet two different ways. If you click on the picture, you can see where the different patterns are. It is made of lamb's wool/acrylic yarn. The wool makes it slightly scratchy so, the one time I wore it, I wore a turtleneck underneath. These two layers made me so hot I was able to walk to work in the middle of the winter without a coat. Once inside, I roasted. It would be a great sweater if you are going to be outside for any length of time. The wool also makes it soft. It measures 35 inches around the chest. The sleeves are 12 inches long, and it is 25 inches from the shoulder seam to the bottom of the rib. This turtle-neck sweater is $125.

This is a crocheted jacket. Again, I saw the picture of it in a book and adored it. I made it with a lamb's wool/acrylic blend yarn so it would be warm--and it is! It is a moss stitch pattern throughout. It is 37 inches across the chest and 20½ inches from the shoulder seam to the bottom. The sleeves are 21 inches long. It doesn't have anything to close the front but it does have an edging design and a slight cuff. This winter jacket is $150.
